Fujiwara no Shigemichi (藤原重通)
FUJIWARA no Shigemichi (1099 - July 6, 1161) was a Kugyo (top court official) at the end of the Heian period. He was the fifth son of FUJIWARA no Munemichi and his mother was the daughter of FUJIWARA no Akisue. FUJIWARA no Koremichi, FUJIWARA no Suemichi, and FUJIWARA no Narimichi were his elder brothers. He was an adopted son of FUJIWARA no Iemichi, Gon Chunagon (a provisional vice-councilor of state) and second son of FUJIWARA no Tadamoto who belonged to the HUJIWARA no Morozane line. He was also Shonii Dainagon (Senior Second Rank, chief councilor of state).
